The Norfolk Historic Environment Record staff are available during business hours to help with enquiries relating to the Historic Environment Record database and archives and other content on the Norfolk Heritage Explorer website.
You can email us at heritage@norfolk.gov.uk.
You can telephone us on 01362 869282.
Or you can write to us at:
Norfolk Historic Environment Record, The Archive Centre, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DQ.
The Find Identification and Recording Team can be contacted at finds.recording@norfolk.gov.uk
Please be patient when contacting us as we do receive a high volume of requests and it may take some time to respond.
If you're interested in ordering a database search/extract or copies of images/documents held in our supporting archive you can help us out by downloading a Request Form from the Norfolk County Council website and emailing it to us.
Please note that we can only deal with enquiries relating specifically to Norfolk's archaeology and historic environment. We do not own or manage any historic sites directly and we do not retain property ownership data.
For enquiries relating to family history, please contact the Norfolk Records Office or the Norfolk Heritage Centre.
For enquiries about Norfolk museums, please visit www.museums.norfolk.gov.uk.
For enquiries relating to visiting churches, please visit the A Church Near You website.
